Jack London Trunk Show – Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011. I am so excited to be the official Hipstamatic Community Australia Ambassador! This app has been such a huge part of my photographic life for nearly a year now, the results are so different, retro and quirky. I feel privileged to be part of such a wonderful team. To coincide with the launch of Hipstamatic Australia I headed to the Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and enjoyed a trunk show by Jack London, (designer Karl Bartl). The fashion was inspired and themed to Romper Stomper/English Coolcats/Quadophenia - very cool!!   Awesome fashions, a lovely crowd and we interviewed Rhys Uhlich who shot to international fame after he won Australia’s next top model, he talked about recently being photographed with only an iPhone including Hipstamatic for a photo shoot for People Australia Clothing line! We met the beautiful Allanah Hill – one of Australia’s leading fashion designers, she sat across from us and was using her iPhone during the show! Get Hip! I did and it is so much fun!!!

I get excited about a lot of things but to actually feature on the Hipstamatic Facebook Page in their Adventures in Hipstaland section is such a thrill for me! Hipstamatic’s fan page has nearly 50,000 fans and knowing my work is being seen by so many people from all walks of the globe is just amazing.

A series of images I captured at Mornington and along the coast of Port Phillip Bay, Seaford & Mt Eliza.

Using my hipstamatic application for iPhone4 – it gives a textured and nostalgic feel within the images. Enjoy!

Just for Fun? or Serious? Hipstamatic App = A++++++

Can’t it be both “serious” and “just for fun”? I say a big resounding YES!

Around 6 months ago I stumbled upon the Hipstamatic for iphone App when I upgraded my phone from the 3g to the iphone 4. I must say – it is a stunning app. At first for random experiments and now I am more refined and selective with my choices of what I shoot with. These are a few of my random images – I have some amazing series of images coming soon, so watch this space <3

 

I have even found myself at weddings snapping a few images to include in the couples’ wedding album! Here are a few of my results, do yourself a favour – if you want images that are edgy, retro, quirky and impossible on a digital slr – this is the APP for you! Well done Synthetic Corp! xxx
